About Me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in teen and young adult counseling. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Temple University and my Master of Social Work from West Chester University.

I enjoy working with those navigating life transitions. Many of my clients are also in the midst of identity exploration related to their sexuality, gender, religion, and relationships. I also help those living with trauma, grief, and loss. All of these things are human and deserving of a space to process and move through.

My experience includes acute behavioral health crisis care with people across a lifespan and outpatient programming with teens living with co-occurring disorders. Prior to my work as a social worker and therapist, I worked in early-childhood education and clinical research. When I’m not working, I enjoy being creative through scrapbooking, sewing, and photography.

The licenses I hold:

Values and Approach

  • My practice is informed by IFS (Internal Family System Theory) and Feminist Theory, meaning that I see people as innately complex and multifaceted. I see people within the context of their community and our society. Our culture impacts us more than we think and good therapy includes the whole person. Therapy guided by these theories looks like building internal harmony and feeling empowered.

I also utilize ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and mindfulness. We can strengthen our presence in the face of distress and suffering through mindful connection to the world around us. It also means creating a life that’s meaningful even when it’s hard.

  • Like my approach, I’d describe my style as a mix of different pieces. I’m a creative, warm, expressive therapist who finds the human connection and experience as sacred (and even spiritual) and I’m direct, organized, logical, and academic.

I believe it is a privilege to be alongside you while you navigate life’s challenges. Our work will be collaborative and guided by what’s important to you, not necessarily a diagnosis or disorder. I don’t see people as broken or hopeless. Many times, our pain or experience just needs to be witnessed before we’re able to change.
